What Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi offers:

  • Certificate Courses from HSK1 – HSK5, in morning, afternoon, and weekend Programs.
  • Business Chinese classes from BCT1 – BCT4, in weekend classes.
  • Young Chinese courses (YCT1 and YCT2) in weekend Classes.
  • 2-Years Chinese as the subsidiary course to the students of other departments of KU.

  • 4-Years (2+2) BS Chinese split program

Certificate Courses from HSK1 – HSK5, in morning, afternoon, and weekend Programs.
Certificate Courses in Basic Chinese (HSK 1- 5) & Youth Chinese (YCT 1-2) for Weekday (Morning, Afternoon) and Weekends. Admission offers for Fall and Spring sessions (July and December every year).

 

Eligibility for:

  • HSK-1 Intermediate with at least 2nd Division (45% Marks) or Higher Qualification at least 2nd division in the last examination)
  • YCT-1 under matric and below the age of 16 years
  • HSK 2-5 and YCT-2, the candidate should have a passing certificate (local or international) of the last level.

Application Forms for HSK 2-5 and YCT 1-2 can be obtained and submitted with the required documents from/at the Confucius Institute, University of Karachi during the advertised dates between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm on the payment of Rs- 500 (non-refundable).  Admission processes for HSK 1 (Morning, Afternoon, and weekend) will be done through the main admission directorate, University of Karachi, 3rd floor, main administration building.

Split 2+2 BS Program in Chinese
The split 2+2 BS program in Chinese is hosted by Sichuan Normal University and University of Karachi. Program students shall study for two years in University of Karachi to complete the required courses and qualified students will be granted scholarships to study in Sichuan Normal University in the remaining two years. Students who meet the graduation requirements shall be awarded joint BS degree by both universities.

 

Fee Structure: In accordance with the University of Karachi regulations in the first two academic years, qualified students will obtain full scholarships for the 3rd and 4th academic years in Sichuan Normal University in China.
