Objectives

Objectives:

The main objectives of the M.A.H.Q. Biological Research Centre are to promote advanced collaborative research across all disciplines of biological sciences, including Biochemistry, Botany, Microbiology, Physiology, and Zoology. A key strength of this center is its multidisciplinary nature, which enables the integration of diverse research approaches essential for understanding complex biological processes. Recognizing that such complexity demands complementary perspectives, the center provides extensive laboratory space where experts from various fields, including molecular biology, biotechnology, plant sciences, microbiology, plant pathology, physiology, and animal sciences, work side by side.

One of the center’s focal areas is the study of stress biology, particularly understanding how organisms respond to various abiotic stresses such as drought, salinity, and temperature extremes and climate change. Researchers are engaged in uncovering the mechanisms use to survive and adapt under these challenging conditions, employing   techniques to enhance stress tolerance. This research is critical for addressing food security issues and improving agricultural sustainability.

The International Journal of Biology Research (IJBR), published by the Biological Research Center (BRC), is available online at www.ijbr.net, providing a platform for cutting-edge research in biological sciences.
