One Day National Conference entitled "History and Universities" will be held on 27th October 2016 at Arts Auditorium KU at 10 am organized by KU Pakistan Study Center in collaboration with Tareekh Publications Lahore. Prof. Dr. Syed Jaffar Ahmed, Dr. Tauseef Ahmed Khan, Dr. Riaz Shaikh, Dr. Irfan Aziz and Mr. Muqtada Mansoor will present their papers.

On the occasion of 55th Anniversary of the Department of Social Work KU, the department in collaboration with HEC, Social Welfare Department Sindh Government and Anjuman Tarraqi-e-Niswan is holding a 2 days Conference on “Social Welfare: Social Work Issues and Challenges in Pakistan” from 8th to 9th September 2016 at Abdul Sattar Edhi Seminar Hall, Center for Excellence for Women’s Studies KU. VC KU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qaiser will preside over while Minister Social Welfare Dept. Sindh Govt. Madam Shamim Mumtaz will be the chief guest. 4thVolume of the Journal of Applied Social Sciences will be launched in the conference while poster competition and Pakistani cultural show will also be held in the department.
