The Annual Convocation 2008 of the university held on Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Valika Cricket Stadium, University of Karachi. It was presided over by Sindh’s senior minister for education Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq who is also the pro-chancellor of the university.

Degrees were conferred on as many as 750 students who did their Bachelors, Masters and MPhil/PhD from the university in 2007.
