Establishment of the Journal Club in the University of Karachi was needed to promote research –based teaching and to keep the faculty abreast of recent advances in relevant fields. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui opined on the occasion of the First Presentation Session of the University of Karachi Journal Club. In this session, five young faculty members of the university who have recently completed their PhDs from Pakistan or abroad presented their research work. The VC praised the organizers of the program and emphasized that if teachers take initiative of such healthy and academic activities, administration will bend backwards to support such environment.
