Mission

The Mission of the Institute of Environmental Studies   is to discover,   disseminate, apply and use of knowledge of environment and related fields to meet basic human needs improve environment quality and to meet Millennium Development Goals (MDG).

To achieve this mission the Institute of Environmental Studies provides an environment for teaching and postgraduate research the Institute assures integration of specializations that address complex social, health and environmental issues. The mission is valuable as the Institute. The mission is valuable as the Institute works involving different disciplines to improve well being of individuals, families and communities. Our Alumni would make the world a better place to live.

  • Develop quality research on environment and related fields leading to M.Phil and Ph.D degrees.
  • Produce specialized human resource

  • To develop links with other institutions nationally and internationally
