Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan in his message on the occasion of 71st Independence Day said that we could have a welfare state if we implement Quaid’s vision and his philosophy in true letter and spirit. Nations who have a strong and fair system of justice and law could never be defeated, timely justice may eradicate chaos in the society. Pakistan is a great blessing for us from the Almighty, every citizen needs to play their role in its prosperity and wellbeing. This day, we make a pledge to leave no stone unturned for its development.
We can face every challenge and resolve all issues by being united and promote mutual cooperation. Today is the day of self-accountability; we need to ask ourselves, why we are behind from other nations. I want to give a message to our youth to get education and the best education. It will be very hard to sustain and survive in this world; only those would survive and sustain who are well versed with modern education.
Awareness Seminar on Safe Handling and Disposal of Dyes

An awareness seminar on Safe Handling and Disposal of Dyes organized by Department of Chemistry, University of Karachi (KU) in collaboration with ORIC, KU will be held on 15th August, 2018 at 9:00 am at Arts Auditorium, University of Karachi. Registrar and Director ORIC KU Prof. Dr. Majid Mumtaz will deliver the welcome address while Nazish Shekha, Sustainability Consultant, Dr. Sitara Rashid, Textile Consultant, Dr. Farhana Abdul Rauf, WHO Consultant, Dr. Qaisra Mansoor, Consultant Dermatologist, Dr. Iffat Zehra from Archroma will address. The major purpose of the seminar is to raise awareness about the environmental and health impacts of using dyes and chemicals without knowing the source of inquiring about their authenticity.

Prof. Paul Komesaroff, Monash University Australia will deliver the keynote address while KU Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Qadri will deliver the inaugural address. Meanwhile, Concluding Ceremony of the Workshop of First Summer School on Green Spin in Biotechnology will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Jinnah Auditorium, KIBGE, University of Karachi (KU). Vice Chancellor KU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan will be the chief guest. Dean faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Tasneem Adam Ali will also address while certificate distribution will also take place.
