UoK Alumni Launching postponed

It is stated to inform you that, the launching ceremony of the first ever alumni body of University of Karachi which was supposed to be held on February 20th 2013, has been postponed due to the prevailing law and order situation in the city. New date will be announced later. However, the process of alumni membership registration is continued.

University invites its alumni to register for the first ever official alumni body

University of Karachi is launching its first ever alumni body titled University of Karachi Alumni on February 20th 2013 at 2:00pm in the Arts Auditorium. Through this alumni body, the University will ensure that good communication link is established amongst the alumni as well as between the alumni and the University. To achieve this it has established an office in the Public Relations Office, where administrative facilities are provided to its alumni for the completion of their membership. Not only this, the office will be responsible to build a cohesive network of UoK Alumni. It will ensure unhindered communication throughout the year that includes timely announcement of University events as well. The office aims to organize different alumni based activities that will help connecting the alumni around the globe. It is pertinent to note that graduates from the colleges and institutes affiliated to KU are also eligible to attain the membership. These measures will keep the alumni informed about the whereabouts and achievements of fellow alumni, as well as important developments at the University. To provide a more efficient communication link, a website will soon be developed to provide up to date information regarding alumni events. Also, the latest developments at the University will be announced through this website. An electronic version of the University Magazine will also be available on the website. Last date for change of Minor Subjects for regular students

Dean, Faculty of Arts, has announced for regular students of University of Karachi studying in the first and second year that Monday (18-Feb) is the last date for changing minor subjects. Students can submit their application today on February 18th 2013.

Annual Examination for MBBS and BDS Professional 2013

University of Karachi has announced that the annual examinations 2013 for MBBS Second Professional will commence from Monday,, February 18th 2013. All the papers will be conducted from 2:00pm to 5:00pm in the new classroom, Faculty of Science (near Physiology Department), UoK. Moreover, the BDS 3rd Professional Annual Examination 2013 will be held from 19th February 2013. Timings and venue will remain same as that the of the MBBS Second Professional Annual Examination 2013.

Supplementary Examinations 2012 to be held from march 18th to March 31st 2013

In-charge Semester Examinations Section - Prof. Dr. Haider Abbas Rizwi has announced for the information of all outgoing and ex-students of Morning and Evening Program (who are eligible to appear in the Supplementary Examinations 2012) that the Supplementary Examination -2012 will be held from Monday March 18th 2013 till March 31st 2013. Forms can be submitted from 11th February to 20th February 2013 (without late fee) and from 21st February 2013 till 28th February 2013 (with late fee of Rs.500). It is pertinent to not that only ex-students and outgoing students having valid enrolment are eligible to appear in a maximum of five papers as per rule, however, regular students are ineligible to appear in the supplementary examinations2012.
